Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition
With a history dating back to 1778, the Summer Science Exhibition is the Royal Society's flagship public engagement event and the oldest science festival in Europe. The event is an opportunity for Fellows of the Royal Society to showcase their latest research and breakthroughs demonstrating the scientific principles behind their work with hands-on interactives and talks to members of the public.
Accellerate (Citizen Science)
Dr Priyanka Bhosale is a researcher studying oral cancer, and whether a specific gene affects how tumours develop. Her research focuses on the squamous epithelium and the basement membrane of the epithelium (the wavey looking structure), and how tumours develop in this area. Working with a team at Cellari to develop an AI that recognises cell data at the Centre for Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine (CSCRM), her colleagues Erika Wiseman and Jess Sells are using a citizen science campaign to accellerate Priyanka's research.
'Skin' with Dr Clarisse Ganier
Dr Clarisse Ganier is a Centre for Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine (CSCRM) researcher studying the cells and structure of human skin. One of her areas of interest is the skin vasculature (the blood vessels that supply the skin) using a technology called optical coherence tomography. We've helped her develop a game to guess the body part based on OCT scans.
Islet Transplantation with Ella Hubber
The UK has the 5th highest incidences of type 1 diabetes (T1D) in the world, with 24.5 cases per 100,000 individuals. Ella’s research focuses on using a type of adult stem cell called mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), to help support and improve islet function and survival.
Scientific Embroidery
Producing scientific embroidery and digital art interpreting research images by Watt Lab scientists, including human embryo, mouse oral keratinocytes, pancreatic organoid and skin ageing. This project included producing pattern templates for an outreach programme allowing members of the public to stitch these designs into material life.
Wellcome & KCL Advanced Therapies for Regenerative Medicine PhD Programme
Recruitment website for the Wellcome Trust & King's PhD Programme targeting researchers in cell transplantation, gene therapy and endogenous tissue repair. The Wellcome Trust & King's ’Advanced Therapies for Regenerative Medicine’ PhD Programme is designed to train a new generation of researchers in the therapies underpinning regenerative medicine.
Athena SWAN Symposium
The Athena SWAN Symposium is an event focused on promoting gender equality in higher education and research. The Athena SWAN (Scientific Women's Academic Network) is an equality charter mark framework and accreditation that recognises and celebrates good practices in higher education and research institutions towards the advancement of gender equality: representation, progression and success.
Women in Science Exhibition
A discussion of how to slow the rate of attrition of women from scientific careers takes place at an institutional level. This online exhibition showcases the collaboration between photographer Fanny Beckman and the Centre for Gene Therapy & Regenerative Medicine as as they lend their voices and faces to the discussion.
King's College London
King's College London's Elective Year Photography Competition and Exhibition was led by the KCL School of Medicine as an annual Outreach & Public Engagement event. This reportage series follows Medical students around the world during their seminal Elective year as they provide medical aid and healthcare across a diversity of communities.
DMC Network Campaigns

Their integrated campaigns aim to meet the various messaging and information needs of their global and local markets, stakeholders and audiences. Their outreach programmes reflect an organisational culture committed to community outreach and payback.
Historical Towns Trust
The Historic Towns Trust is a pioneering charity which researches and investigates how and why settlements developed the way they did in partnership with local historians, geographers and archaeologists. Their atlases and historical maps are part of an international programme used by individuals, schools, universities, and community groups. They support and promote a greater understanding and sharing of our urban past and raise awareness needed for restoration, sympathetic new development and urban regeneration.
History of Parliament
The History of Parliament site provides educational resources to help teachers and students discover British history and the role that Parliament played, as well as the places and campaigns they represented. They run competitons, exhibitions and workshops for KS3 through to 16-18 year olds.
90th Anniversary Exhibition
Gandhi Salt March
Curating and producing exhibition content and digital artwork for the 90th Anniversary of Gandhi's Salt March, a multi-national collaboration led by Professor Miles Taylor, Professor of British History and Society at Humboldt University of Berlin and University of York, which chronicles the events, global impact and ongoing legacy of the ground shaking movement.
