Led by Professor Francesca Spagnoli, researchers at the Spagnoli Lab are interested in understanding the interplay between extrinsic signals and intrinsic determinants in establishing and maintaining cell identities.

WattLab

Web Production & Digital design for the WattLab, led by Professor Fiona Watt FRS, Director of the EMBO. Watt Lab is interested in how the differentiated state of adult tissues is maintained. Their research examines self-renewal and lineage selection by human and mouse epidermal stem cells; the role of stem cells in epidermal and oral tumour formation; and the assembly and function of the epidermal cornified envelope.

EU H2020 FET-Open Pan3DP Consortium

Scientific visual design & content production communicating the multidisciplinary research of experts in developmental biology, computational biology, organ modelling and tissue engineering, from both academia and industry. The Consortium's pioneering work contributed to the emerging field of regenerative medicine by developing the first 3D bioprinting set-up to fabricate pancreatic tissue.

Recruitment website for the Wellcome Trust & King's PhD Programme targeting researchers in cell transplantation, gene therapy and endogenous tissue repair. The Wellcome Trust & King's ’Advanced Therapies for Regenerative Medicine’ PhD Programme is designed to train a new generation of researchers in the therapies underpinning regenerative medicine.

Dr Priyanka Bhosale is a researcher studying oral cancer, and whether a specific gene affects how tumours develop. Her research focuses on the squamous epithelium and the basement membrane of the epithelium (the wavey looking structure), and how tumours develop in this area.

The UK has the 5th highest incidences of type 1 diabetes (T1D) in the world, with 24.5 cases per 100,000 individuals. Ella’s research focuses on using a type of adult stem cell called mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), to help support and improve islet function and survival.

Skin with Dr Clarisse Ganier

Dr Clarisse Ganier is a Centre for Stem Cell & Regenerative Medicine (CSCRM) researcher studying the cells and structure of human skin. One of her areas of interest is the skin vasculature (the blood vessels that supply the skin) using a technology called optical coherence tomography.
